Fastfit Reporting can ask the user questions at various points during the life of a WIP. The answers to these questions are recorded and can be used to produce sales figures for each answer in Fastfit reports. You can add questions to suit your own needs, tailoring their properties to your requirements.
To define or amend question properties:
From the Operations Menu select Fastfit reporting followed by the name of the Point-of-Sale company you require.
The Fastfit Reporting form is displayed.
Click the Fastfit Reporting options button on the form's toolbar or select Edit > Options on the menu bar.
The Fastfit Reporting Options form is displayed with the Reporting options tab active.
Select the Questions tab and click Add to define a new question or Amend to change the properties of the selected question.
The Question Properties form is displayed.
Complete the form and click OK.
You are returned to the Questions tab with the question properties are added or amended as required.
This form is displayed when you click Add or Amend on the Questions tab on the Fastfit Reporting Options form. It enables you to define the properties for a new question or amend them for an existing one.
Question ID: Unique code to identify the question, up to twenty characters long.
Question: Question that will be asked in Point-of-Sale.
Active: Select or de-select this check box to turn the question on or off.
Properties:
POS trigger: Triggering event that causes the question to be asked, selectable by clicking the drop-down arrow button. At present one of the following:
BI: Booking in (as the WIP is held)
IN: Invoice (at the point of invoicing)
LA: Labour line creation (as a labour line is added to the WIP)
PA: Part line creation (as a part line is added to the WIP)
MK: Marketing retrieval (not used)
MP: Menu price line (not used)
Default answer: A default answer to the question.
Help text: Additional information to be displayed to assist the user when the question is asked.
Validation type: Type of answer the user must give. One of the following:
Validation Type Description Boolean The user must answer Yes or No Character The user can enter alphanumeric characters up to the given length in validation image (see below) Date The user will be prompted for a date Lookup The user can select the answer from a dropdown list. This requires a lookup table, lookup code and lookup description to be supplied (see below) Numeric The user must enter a number in the given image (see below) Validation image: A validate is required for both Character and Numeric validation types. For Character validation type you must supply the number of characters the user must type in, with a maximum length of fifty characters. For Numeric validation type, you must supply the image for the numeric input, for example #####.##.
Lookup table: If you select a Lookup Validation type, you must select an Autoline table from which users can select their answers.
Lookup code: Code field that is used to identify the record, selectable from the drop-down list available when a lookup table has been selected.
Lookup description: Description field that is used to describe the record, selectable from the drop-down list available when a lookup table has been selected.
Buttons:
OK: Returns you to the Questions tab, saving any changes made to the question properties.
Cancel: Returns you to the Questions tab, discarding any changes made to the question properties.
Amend: Enables you to amend the question properties.
