The Create/Edit/Copy Level [Level Name] form enables you to create a new level either from a blank form or by copying the data of an existing level. It also enables you to amend a level.
What do you want to do?
Note: The actual wording of the [Level Name] part of the form title depends on your system configuration.
This form is displayed when you select the Create..., Edit..., or Copy... option from the shortcut menu of the Levels grid on the labour codes/times maintenance form. It enables you to create or amend a level.
[Parent level]: Code that identifies the parent of the level you are creating or amending <displayed in angle brackets instead of a box> (not displayed at all when you are at the top-most level)
[Level]: Code that identifies the level you are creating or amending
If you are creating (including copying) a sub-level, as distinct from a level at the top of the assembly hierarchy, [Level] consists of two boxes. The first box contains the parent level code, which is not editable. The second box identifies the sub-level within the parent level and it is editable.
If you are amending the record, no part of [Level] is editable.
Copied from: Identifier code of the level on which you are basing the new level (not editable)
Note: The Copied from box appears only if you are creating a level by copying an existing level.
Description: Describes the level that you are creating or amending
