Fluid Mapping

Fluid mapping is used to map generic part numbers from Vauxhall to part numbers used by the dealership. For example, ENGINE_OIL can be mapped to a part number on your stock file.

To check fluid mappings:

  1. Click the Fluid mapping icon on the Shortcuts sidebar on the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Administrator form.

    The Fluid Mapping form is displayed.

  2. When you have finished using the form click Close.

    You are returned to the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Administrator form.

Fluid Mapping Form

This form is displayed when you click the Fluid mapping icon on the Shortcuts sidebar on the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Administrator form. It enables you to check fluid mappings.

Grid:

The grid shows all generic part numbers as imported from the Vauxhall data. A line displayed in red indicates a problem, which is detailed in the Status column.

Tip: You can display the stock record for a part by highlighting the line and right-clicking it and then clicking View stock card.

Fluid code: Generic part number from Vauxhall.

Dealer part: Part number used by the dealership.

Description: Describes the part.

UOM factor: Unit of measure factor used to calculate quantities based on their unit of issue.

Status: Either OK or a specific problem status.

Amending a Fluid Mapping

To amend a fluid mapping:

  1. Highlight the line to be amended and either double-click it or right-click it and then click Amend.

    The Edit Fluid Mapping form is displayed.

  2. Make the necessary changes and click OK.

    The mapping is amended.

Edit Fluid Mapping Form

This form is displayed when you double-click a line on the Fluid Mapping form or right-click it and click Amend. It enables you to amend fluid mappings.

Properties:

Fluid code: Generic part number from Vauxhall.

Type: Either Part or Labour line.

Part option button selected:

Part number: Code identifying a part, used by the dealer.

Unit of measure: Unit of measure for the fluid mapping.

Labour line option button selected:

RTS code: Repair Time Schedule code taken from the WIP, selectable with an Ellipsis button.

Labour rate code: Code used to analyse the labour sale element and determine the hourly charge-out rate, selectable with a Drop-down button.

Retail price: Retail price for labour sale element.

Cost price: Cost price for labour sale element.
