Unit of measure selection is used to ensure that the correct quantity is issued on the WIP. Historically, decimal quantities were not used in Autoline, so a factor was used to calculate quantities based on their unit of issue.
Fluid quantities may need adjusting to fit in with how you sell them. For example, you may only sell oil in half-litre cans. Therefore 3.7 litres becomes 8 half-litres.
To select a unit of measure:
On the Edit Fluid Mapping form click the Ellipsis button on the Unit of measure field.
The Unit of Measure Selection form is displayed.
Highlight the unit of measure you require and click OK.
You are returned to the Edit Fluid Mapping form with the Unit of measure field completed.
Click OK.
The unit of measure is saved as part of your fluid mapping.
The unit of measure records come from the Stock Management Units file.
