If your manufacturer does not supply a supersession file, but you have supersession numbers on your price file in a field called SUPER, a facility is available that enables you to build a supersession chain from the master price file. You should carry this out on set-up and each time the manufacturer issues an update to the master price file.
Tip: Even if the manufacturer does supply a supersession file, you can still use this option to build a supersession chain from the latest price file if required.
To build a supersession chain:

From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Parts price file menu option.
The MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU is displayed.
Select the Build supersession chains option.
The Build supersession chains form is displayed.
Click OK.
The system builds a supersession chain and displays the following message:
File build OK
Click OK.
You are returned to the MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU.
This form is displayed when the Build supersession chains option is selected on the MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU. It enables you to create or update a supersession chain file from the master price file.
