You can collect data from the BCM server and process it for use in the Autoline system.
To manage incoming communications:
Click FORD OPERATIONS menu > Ford BCM communication.
The Ford BCM communication menu is displayed.
Click Menu - Incoming communication.
The Menu - Incoming communication menu is displayed.
This menu is displayed when you click FORD BCM communication menu > Menu - Incoming communication. You can use the options to collect data from the BCM server and process it in the Autoline system.
Access permissions, called priorities, determine whether a particular menu option is displayed. Each menu option is assigned a priority when the program is installed. Your administrator assigns each user a priority. Any menu option whose priority is higher than your own is omitted from the menu. If you think you need access to a menu option described in this help but it does not appear in the actual menu, check with your administrator.
Lexicon code lookup file: Enables you to access the raw files which are used to build and maintain tables in Autoline
Parts prices, Full master: Enables you to access the raw files which are used to build and maintain tables in Autoline
Parts prices, Amendments: Enables you to access the raw files which are used to build and maintain tables in Autoline
Labour times, Full master: Enables you to access the raw files which are used to build and maintain tables in Autoline
When the data is processed in the system a fixed sequence should be used. This is because some menu options use information from earlier converted Ford data. For example, labour codes use the lexicon codes for descriptions, therefore Lexicon files would be processed before Labour Times files.
Normally all the programs run in the Times operations, but when necessary they can be run from the menu and then the following sequence should be used:
By running these programs you can download the latest version from the BCM server if available. This assumes that the parameters are correctly set up for all options.
