Lexicon Code Lookup

When the Lexicon code lookup file option is selected, all the files that are entered in the File routing between BCM server and Autoline and have a process trigger that starts with LEXICON are listed.

To process the lexicon code lookup file:

  1. Click FORD OPERATIONS menu > Ford BCM communication.

    The Ford BCM communication menu is displayed.

  2. Click Menu - Incoming communication.

    The Menu - Incoming communication menu is displayed.

  3. Click Lexicon code lookup file and select the Stock Order company you require.

    The Ford Lexicon and Market files form is displayed, with files available on the Autoline server and already processed marked with a tick against their entries on the grid. When there are files to process the Process button is made available and if there are files that are already processed the Re-Process button is made available.

This form is displayed when you click Menu - Incoming communication menu > Lexicon code lookup file and select a Stock Order company. It enables you to process the lexicon code lookup file.

Processing update

Company: Name of the selected Stock Order company

Sender: Details obtained from the source data provided by Ford in the UNB record type. The first part of the code shown represents the ILN (International Location Number) for the branch, consisting of 13 digits.

Receiver: Details obtained from the source data provided by Ford in the UNB record type. The first part of the code shown represents the ILN (International Location Number) for the branch, consisting of 13 digits

File: Details obtained from the source data provided by Ford in the UNB record type. The first part of the code (for example PRTLEXEN1) represents the name of the edifact file as known by Ford. The second part of the code represents the date when the file was generated by Ford.

Market: Details obtained from the source data provided by Ford in the RFF or Reference record type. The API or Additional Party Identification data specifies the Market code, which forms the first part of the data displayed, and the Market name, displayed following the hyphen in this area.

Note: Note that this information is not specified for all source files (for example PRICELEX) but when it is supplied it contains the ISO country code for the market that the data applied to (for example GB).

Table: Details obtained from the source data supplied by Ford in the BGM or Beginning of Message record type. The first part of the code (for example LEX_PART) represents the name of the edifact table that contains the source data being converted. The second part of the code (for example 00331) represents the version code for the file being converted.

Progress bar:

The Progress bar gives a visual indication of the number of files converted from Ford source information to Autoline tables as a proportion of the whole.

Grid:

Remote Directory: Directory on the BCM server where lexicon source files are stored

Remote file: File, or * (asterisk) for more files that are placed in the remote directory

Local Directory: Directory on Autoline DMS where source files are stored following transfer from BCM server

Local file: File, or * (asterisk) for more files that are placed in the local directory

Found: A tick indicates that the file is available on the Autoline server and ready for processing.

Re-Process: A tick indicates that there is an old processed file available for re-processing if required.

Buttons:

Process: Converts all the file marked with a tick in the Found column. Their names are given .Processed extensions after the process has ended correctly.

Cancel: Returns you to the Menu - Incoming communication menu

BCM Download: Downloads the latest files from the BCM server

Re-Process: Renames all the files marked with a tick in the Re-Process column. They are given their original names, enabling you to process the files again.
