SmileTM is a PC based package supplied by Ford primarily for creating leaflets and posters. It enables dealers to maintain dealer fixed prices and promotions (such as a service for a specific model), and export the prices to a CSV file.
Smile prices are made available to the Ford Service Menu Pricing interface by importing them to the Autoline system.
When you are ready to update the Autoline system with Smile prices, you must first export them to the local computer. Smile prices are currently exported to a file called Smile_mc.tab in the Smile program directory (currently C:\smile2001).
To export Smile prices:
From the Outputs page (7) of the Ford Smile program, select Internal and click the Microcat logo.
The Smile prices are exported to the local computer, and can now be imported to the Autoline system.
The Smile Prices Import form is displayed when you select the Import Smile prices option from Tools menu of the Service Menu Pricing Setup form. From this form, you can update the Autoline system with Smile prices and view a log file.
