Header Tab

From the Header tab you can view the menu header details.

Description: A description of the menu for look-up in POS that comprises the work to be performed on the vehicle and the variant.

Allowed time: The time allowed to complete the work.

Analysis code: A single-letter identifier for reporting purposes. This is used as a way of analysing menu sales. Any analysis code entered here overrides the analysis code entered on the Miscellaneous tab of the parameters.

WL group: The Workshop Loading group code. The default normally used is A but this can be overridden in Point-of-Sale (POS), if required.

Note: It is unlikely that a Workshop Loading group will be entered on the menu header. However, if it is, it is used in preference to the Default WL group on the Miscellaneous tab of the parameters.

VAT inclusive: Are fixed price menus VAT inclusive? Any value entered here overrides the value entered in the VAT inclusive field on the Miscellaneous tab of the parameters.

VAT code: Which Nominal Ledger VAT code is to be applied to the menu? Any VAT code entered here overrides the VAT code entered on the Miscellaneous tab of the parameters.

From the Labour tab, you can view labour items associated with the menu.

Note: It is possible to make additional Items available to a menu.

Description: A description of the part.

Quantity: The number of units required for the menu involved.

Type: The part type:

  1. Part

Prices Tab

See also: Price Maintenance

From the Prices tab, you can view and maintain fixed prices associated with the menu.

Description: A description of the price, e.g.:

  1. Competitive Pricing
  2. Fleet Pricing
  3. Rapid Fit Pricing
  4. Retail price
  5. Smile price

Price: The total fixed price including VAT. The fixed prices that you see here are the standard retail prices, which are not necessarily the same as the prices displayed in POS because other factors come into play in POS, such as parts/labour discounts for the selected account and special stock promotions. Also, the figure shown does not contain the price of additional items or the price of fluids mapped in Fluid Mapping. To this end, the prices are only really a guide and should not be quoted to customers.

Active: Is the price active?

BUTTONS:

Create: Allows you to create a fixed price, a menu discount or an itemised discount.

Amend: Allows you to amend a dealer fixed price or a discount.

Delete: Allows you to delete a dealer fixed price or a discount.

View: Allows you to view a dealer fixed price or discount.

Notes Tab

From the Notes tab, you can view comments that are displayed to users when they load a menu in Point-of-Sale.

All models: Indicates if the notes are displayed against all vehicle models.
