Price Maintenance

Four fixed prices are currently provided as part of the database:

  1. Dealer Fixed Price
  2. Fleet Price
  3. Rapid Fit Price
  4. Smile Price

Note: The Service Menu Pricing interface also allows for Competitive prices. However, at the time of writing, these are not supplied by Ford.

Fleet Price, Rapid Fit Price and Competitive Price are supplied by Ford to suggest a regional price, and should not require maintenance by the dealer, unless requested by Ford. The other two fixed prices, Smile Price and Dealer Fixed Price must be set up by the dealer when required.

Note: Ford dealers normally use the Ford Smile software to maintain dealer fixed prices because it has the additional facilities to print promotional leaflets and export the data. Exported Smile prices can be used to update the Autoline system.

The price maintenance facility allows you to associate alternative prices with a menu, a range of menus, or a selection of model codes, job types and variants. You can create three types of price: a fixed price, a menu discount or an itemised discount (with a different parts and/or labour discount).
