Converting Estimates into Job Cards

When the customer is happy with the estimate, and you are ready to carry out the work, you can convert the estimate into a job card.

To convert an estimate into a job card:

Recall details from the Point-of-Sale WIP via the WIP number field.

Tip: Enter the WIP number printed on the estimate directly onto the WIP or click the Ellipsis button [...] to find the WIP by Registration or customer name (Any text).
Add extra details regarding the booking as required, e.g. enter the Due in date, Due out date and time on the Order tab, and the Service code on the Vehicle tab.
Do one of the following:
1. If you use the Workshop Loading module, click the Load button to book the job into the Workshop Diary as normal.
2. If you do not use the Workshop Loading module, change the Status from Memo only to Work-in-Progress on all labour operation lines.
Do one of the following:
1. Click the Action button on the WIP. Click the Job Card button in the Other documents group box of the Action form to print the job card immediately and store all details.
2. Click the Save button to store all details so that you can print the job card at a later time either as a batch or individually.
