Extracts are generated daily between 18:00 and 24:00 CET (Central European time). They contain only the data from the previous day. For instance, Thursday's extract contains Wednesday's data. This ensures that the extract always has complete data and nothing is left outstanding for the next extract. The extract, once built, is then sent to GM exchange for automated transfer to GM.
To create a manual SADE extract:
From the General Motors Group Operations Menu select the SADE extract option followed by the Point-of-Sale company you require.
The General Motors Group SADE form is displayed.
Select Create new extract from the Tools menu, or click the New 
toolbar button.
If no dealer parameters exist, you must first create the dealer parameters.
The SADE Extract Creation Process form is displayed.
Select the extract type and the date range, specify whether or not the file is to be transmitted to GM, and click Extract.
The extraction process begins, with an approximate indication of the progress of each stage and of the overall progress given by the progress bars at the bottom of the form.
Extract type:
Use the option buttons to select one of the following:
Extract yesterday's data only: Creates an extract containing only invoices and credits raised yesterday.
Extract a single historical day: Creates an extract containing invoices and credits from a single day in the past.
Extract multiple days: Creates an extract for more than one day.
Date range:
Extract start date: Start date for the extract, selectable by clicking the Ellipsis button (required if you selected Extract a single historical day or Extract multiple days).
Extract end date: End date for the extract, selectable by clicking the Ellipsis button (required if you selected Extract multiple days).
File transmission:
Transmit file to GM: If this check box is selected the file is automatically sent to GM when the extract has been built.
Extract log:
This group box lists each stage of the extract as it is reached.
Progress:
The Stage progress and Overall progress bars indicate how much of the current stage and how much of the operation as a whole respectively have been completed, as an approximate proportion of the whole.
Buttons:
Cancel: Returns you to the General Motors Group SADE form without performing an extract.
Extract: Builds an extract in accordance with the current settings.
