XML Security Firewall Parameters

The GM XML Security Firewall sits between the dealer's Autoline server and the Clifford Thames server, and acts as an authentication device controlled by GM. When the GM XML Security Firewall receives a request from an Autoline server, it authenticates the request and forwards the request to the Clifford Thames server, which then replies through the GM XML Security Firewall and back to the Autoline server. You can set up XML Security Firewall parameters for all GM products that use web services.

To amend XML Security Firewall parameters:

  1. From the GENERAL MOTORS OPERATIONS MENU, select the GM Workbench Administrator option, followed by the name of a Point-of-Sale company if you are prompted for one.

The Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Administrator form is displayed.

  2. Select Tools > XML Security Firewall parameters.

The Edit XML Security Firewall Parameters form is displayed.
