This form is displayed by selecting File > Parameters on the menu bar or clicking the Edit parameters toolbar button on the GM - [extract identifier] form. It enables system administrators to amend company specific parameters.
Company specific parameters are specific to the Point-of-Sale company for which the extract is run.
Note: The Urban Science data extract uses a generic file transfer record.
GDX type: Always US1

Comments: Purpose of the data extract, for example Extract point of sale information for statistical analysis
Export directory: Identifies where the export data file is stored prior to transmitting to Urban Science; always ^XFR
Export filename: Identifies the exported file, for example urban.xml
File match string: Filter that determines which export files are listed in the Files box on the GM - [extract identifier] form's View tab
Format: The type of file exported; always Ascii
Export write mode: Determines whether the exported file is appended to any existing file or replaces it; always Overwrite
Transfer type: The type of transfer used by the generic file transfer program for this type of file

to select from a menu of Transfer types.
Default date flag: Always blank
Backdata days: Always zero

Description / Value: Includes (in order):
Extract ID: Code enabling General Motors to recognise the type of data extract
Note: Extract ID is in the transmitted file's header section.
Country code: Identifies the country the data applies to, for example GB
Outlet: Identifies the dealer
Suboutlet: Identifies the sub-dealer
Incl. non franchise: One of:
Y: Exports all point-of-sale records
N: Exports all point-of-sale records associated with a GM vehicle
Currency code: Identifies currency, for example GBP
Note: Only if File match string matches Export filename does the Files box on the GM - [extract identifier] form's View tab list that export file.
