Introduction

A Menu Pricing interface has been developed for General Motors Europe (GME) to run as an integral part of the Point-of-Sale (POS)/Menu Pricing system. It allows the creation of estimates, job cards and invoices using menu pricing data, and provides a quick and easy way of loading regularly performed jobs onto a Work-in-Progress (WIP) record. The menu prices are calculated at the point of selection in POS based upon the current retail price.

Note: Wherever the retail price is specified in this help system, it is defined as the current retail price of parts and labour, plus VAT. The labour value is based on the labour rate multiplied by the time allowed.

Users of the GME Menu Pricing software no longer have to import and convert the menu pricing data. Menus are imported as required within Point-of-Sale and deleted after they are loaded onto the WIP. Additionally, any modifications that Vauxhall make to their data is immediately available to the whole dealer network.

Note: GME is only available to dealers on Rev.8.3 with KCML 6. Rev.8.2 dealers will continue to use the existing GM Electronic Menu Pricing (EMP) software.

In order to use the integration between Autoline and GME, you require a Web Integration Components CD supplied by Clifford Thames. This enables KCML to communicate with the OLE objects exposed by the GME application.

Note: Before you can use the Menu Pricing interface in POS, you must ensure that the Autoline system is set up correctly.
