Web Service parameters are used to set the parameters required for communication with the GM CIS web service.
To check Web Service Parameters:
From the General Motors Operations Menu select GM CIS followed by the name of the Point-of-Sale company you require.
The GM CIS Administrator form is displayed.
Select Edit > Web service parameters from the form's menu bar.
The Web Service Parameters form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you select Edit > Web service parameters from the menu bar on the GM CIS Administrator form. It enables you to check the parameters that are used to set the parameters required for communication with the GM CIS web service.
Profile:
Profile: For support purposes, there are two profiles. The ADP Support profile can be used only by ADP, and is intended to enable testing without affecting dealership users. Use the option buttons to select either the Dealer or the ADP Support profile.
Miscellaneous:
GM CIS active: Tick or untick this check box to switch the service integration on and off.
Web service:
WSDL file: Web Service Description Language file used to determine the functionality of the web service.
CIS online: URL used to display GM CIS details online.
CIS user name: User name for accessing GM CIS.
CIS password: Password for accessing GM CIS.
Language code: Appropriate language preceded by its code, selectable with a drop-down button.
Note: The language code parameter can also be set up in Company Parameters, meaning that each Point-of-Sale Company can have its own language defined.
Proxy server:
Use proxy: Tick or untick this check box to switch the proxy settings on and off.
IP address: IP address of the proxy server.
Port number: Port number used to connect to the proxy server.
User name: User name for logging onto the proxy server to enable access to the internet.
Password: Password for logging onto the proxy server to enable access to the internet.
Select vehicle fields to update:
Vehicle updates: Choice of how the MK vehicle records should be updated, selectable with a drop-down button (either No, Prompt or Automatic).
Model year: When this check box is ticked, the model year of the vehicle is updated.
Colour code: When this check box is ticked, the colour code on the vehicle is updated.
Trim code: When this check box is ticked, the trim code on the vehicle is updated.
Engine number: When this check box is ticked, the vehicle engine number is updated.
