This option, which is normally run as part of the standard Timed Operations procedure, will consolidate all of the daybooks for the current day into one NL.daily file. In this way the number of individual daybook files is minimised, and the alternative option, of having all transactions in one large and difficult to process file, is avoided. This program reads the daybook log file for 'todays' transactions and removes the temporary individual daybook files, and replaces them with one NL.daily file which uses the next available sequence number.
To Process the NL daily:
From the Autoline master menu select the Nominal Ledger option and the company you require.
Select the Daybook miscellaneous options option.
Select the Process NL daily option.
The Process NL daily form is displayed.
BUTTONS
OK: Consolidates all of the daybooks for the current day into one NL.daily file.
Cancel: Returns you to the Daybook Miscellaneous menu.
Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.
