This option will remove daybook log entries from the system and once run they are non-recoverable.
The daybook log should be cleared down by input of a daybook number. All log entries on or before this number will be cleared.
Only daybooks from the previous financial year or greater than four periods old may be deleted. If a daybook is selected that does not meet these criteria, a warning on the Command line will be given 'Not more than four periods old'.
To Consolidate the daybook:
From the Autoline master menu select the Nominal Ledger option and the company you require.
Select the Daybook miscellaneous options option.
Select the Consolidate daybook log option.
The Consolidate Daybook Log form is displayed .
Cut-off daybook number: Enter the daybook number. There is a
search facility to view and select the correct daybook. Use the
button to help search for the relevant daybook.
Period/Year: These fields are system-generated upon entering the daybook number and it is from this period in time that Autoline calculates the four period requirement.
There is also a form message which warns you of the consequences of consolidating a daybook log.
BUTTONS
Consolidate: Deletes the daybooks up to and including the specified daybook and will return you to the Daybook miscellaneous menu. It is worth noting that there is no print to support the daybooks deleted.
Exit: Returns you to the Daybook miscellaneous options menu.
Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.
