The Nominal Ledger period-end dates for the current and the next financial year are held in a file NL.dates which can be edited using this program. The number of period-end dates prompted for will be dependant on the Periods system parameter, 'NL periods per year'. System Parameters explains this in greater detail. Bear in mind that period end dates should never be changed during the financial year without discussion with support. The dates will only normally need to be edited at the Nominal ledger year end- Autoline will prompt for the next year's dates during the end of year process.
To select the period-end dates option:
1. From the Autoline master menu select the Nominal Ledger option and the company you require.
2. Select System Maintenance option.
3. Select the NL Period-end dates option.
The NL Period end dates grid is displayed.
When the program is selected from the menu, a table of the current financial year values will be displayed.
BUTTONS
The period-end date for the current Nominal Ledger period is highlighted. By clicking on either of the two years in the form of buttons from the menu, the list of period-end dates for that year [e.g. 2003] can be edited and saved. Select the date you wish to amend, change the date, and save it by clicking the Save button.
Exit: Returns you to the System maintenance menu.
Help: Displays online help in the default company browser.
