The main purpose of this option is to provide a means of blocking access to the Nominal Ledger module should you need to do some stand-alone maintenance. For example, after a system problem, it may be necessary to re-build the file indexes, or a file may need extending to accommodate further records. You can also display current users of the module - that is, those users actually logged on. This helps you to check there is no one using the module, prior to preventing access. Any users illegally logged on - for example, after a system failure: those users who had not properly exited the module - have a User ID of ILLEGAL.
To prevent/allow access to the Nominal Ledger, display users, or clear illegal users:
From the Autoline Master Menu, select the Nominal Ledger option and the company you require.
The NOMINAL LEDGER Main Menu is displayed.
Select the System Maintenance option.
The NL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE Menu is displayed.
Select the Prevent/allow access option.
The Prevent/Allow Access form is displayed.
You have three options:
To prevent or allow access respectively, select, or clear, the Status check-box.
To display users, click Display Users.
To clear illegal users, click Clear Illegal Users.
