This option mainly enables you to block access to the Accruals module should you need to do some stand-alone maintenance. For example, after a system problem, it may be necessary to re-build the file indexes, or a file may need extending to accommodate further accrual records.
Current users of the module (those users actually logged on), can be displayed. This helps you check there is no one using the module, prior to preventing access.
To prevent, or allow users, access to the Accruals module:
From the Autoline Master Menu, select the Accruals module.
The ACCRUALS Main Menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option.
The AJ SYSTEM MAINTENANCE Menu is displayed.
Select the Prevent/allow access option.
The Prevent/allow access form is displayed.
Three options are available:
To prevent or allow access respectively, select, or clear, the Status check-box.
To display users, click Display Users.
To clear illegal users, click Clear Illegal Users.
This form is displayed when you select the System maintenance option from the ACCRUALS Main Menu, then select Prevent/allow access from the AJ SYSTEM MAINTENANCE Menu. It enables you to prevent, or allow, access to the Accruals module during, for example, system maintenance or a Support exercise. Access prevention means that new users cannot enter the module, and current users cannot re-enter the module.
Note: Access must be allowed again from the same terminal on which the Prevent/allow access option was originally run. Only the user preventing access can subsequently allow access from the same terminal.
Module: Module identifier. Module to which access is being prevented or allowed.
Company: Confirms your current selection, and highlights the fact that access is prevented or allowed within the module by company
Status: Whether access is currently prevented or allowed. Select or clear this check-box respectively to prevent, or allow logging on to the module. The form reflects the amended status.
