To access the warehouse options.
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Purchase Control Module and the Company you require.
The PURCHASE CONTROL Menu is displayed.
Select Warehouse options.
The PC WAREHOUSE OPTIONS is displayed.
Select the Generate depot requirements option.
The Generate Depot Transfer Recommendation form is displayed.
The generate depot requirements option is available to companies set up as a warehouse responsible for the replenishment stock of other depots. This option enables you to enter specific criteria relating to the stock orders you wish to generate on behalf of another depot or depots. The depots for which a warehouse is responsible must be set up within the branches and depots file in the Point-of-Sale miscellaneous options.
This form is displayed when you select the Generate depot requirements option from the Purchase control warehouse options menu.
Use this form to create suggested purchase orders in the warehouse for the depots that the warehouse has responsibility for. The Depots and branches file contains the details of the warehouse and that of the depots.
Note: If existing suggested orders have been created but not processed you will be warned when attempting to create a new suggested order. You may then either go back and deal with those orders, or, initialise them and create a fresh suggested order.
The form offers various selection criteria in order to create a tailored suggested purchase orders.
Depots:
All depots for which the warehouse may create stock purchase orders for are displayed. These may be toggle selected / deselected, or alternatively select the ALL check box to select all depots in the list.
Products:
All products that have been set up and available for selection are displayed. These may be toggle selected / deselected, or alternatively select the ALL check box to select all products in the list.
Re-order categories:
All re-order categories that have been set up and available for selection are displayed. These may be toggle selected / deselected, or alternatively select the ALL check box to select all re-order categories in the list.
Minimum average monthly demand:
Enter a minimum average monthly demand figure if required. Only products that have an average monthly demand greater than the figure entered are included in the suggested order.
Buttons:
Generate: Generates and prints the suggested order for later review.
Exit: Exits the program and returns you to the PC Warehouse options menu.
Help: Displays help on this topic in your default browser.
Once completed the suggested order produced may be reviewed using the Edit depot requirements option available from the PC warehouse options menu. Finally, when the order is ready to be processed, the Generate transfer WIPs option should be used to create the orders.
