This is a high access/priority level option on the PL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu which re-prints all of the PL Daybooks on the system that require a re-print. (These are ones that were printed immediately, in the sense that a daybook was produced at the end of a process, such as cash posting of a document.) It does not print daybooks that have not yet been printed using the Print daybook option or the Print all daybooks option.
To start a central reprint of PL daybooks:
From the Autoline Master menu select the Purchase Ledger option and the Company you require.
The PURCHASE LEDGER menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The PL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Central reprint of PL daybooks option.
The Central reprint of PL daybooks form is displayed.
The Central Reprint of PL Daybooks form is displayed when the Central reprint of PL daybooks option is selected from the PL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. This option can be especially useful in a company where many terminals are in use over a number of different locations. It is controlled by the system parameters in the Nominal Ledger.
In some group environments, where daybooks are being printed in real-time at a branch level, it may be desirable to have another copy reprinted centrally, normally as part of the End-of-Day run. Whether this option is practiced is controlled by the Nominal Ledger system parameters Reprint immediate daybooks at end of day and Reprint module daybooks at end of day. The first parameter refers to daybooks generated directly through the Purchase (or Sales) Ledgers, i.e. batch input, cash posting, where a daybook is produced at the end of a task. The second parameter refers to daybooks integrated from other modules such as Accruals, Asset Register, Point-of-Sale, etc.
This program then carries out the reprint and sets the status of each daybook item concerned to C (upper case).
BUTTONS:
Reprint: Reprints the daybooks.
Exit: Returns you to the PL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.
Help: Displays help in the default company browser.
