The Equivalent achievement categories are user defined for each of the system pre-defined Achievement types and each Achievement Category in turn. They are used within the recruitment system for checking the skills match between the applicant and that stated on the vacancy, for example an applicant may have a CSE grade 1 whereas the vacancy requires an O Level grade C.
Provided you have Allow lookup editing switched on your human resources security record and your priority is greater or matching the human resources system parameter priority to amend look up files, Equivalent achievement categories may be set up by the following method.
To access equivalent achievement categories
The Human Resources Password form is displayed.
Enter your human resource password.
The HUMAN RESOURCES menu is displayed.
Select the Human resources option and enter the employee number.
Equivalent category: Three character code consisting of the achievement type and achievement category.
Relationship: Enter Two character code using the drop down list of options.
=: Equivalent.
>: Higher than.
<: Lower than.
Note: A > relationship field cannot be used for a lower grade than a = or < relationship, similarly a < relationship field cannot be used for a higher grade than a + or > relationship field.
An example is O Level grade A and B are both > than any CSE grade, O Level grade C may be treated as = to CSE grade 1 to 1, O Level grade D may be treated as = to CSE grade 2 to 2, O level grade E may be treated as = to CSE grade 3 to 3, O level grade F may be treated as < than other CSE grades.
Highest equivalent: The highest equivalent grade from the equivalent category when using the relationship and the original category grade.
Lowest equivalent: The lowest equivalent grade from the equivalent category when using the relationship and the original category grade.
