Transfer Contact History

This is an update that transfers the contact history of one customer record onto another record.

There is no print out or display produced.

Warning: Care should be taken when setting any customer records for deletion. You will need to detach any vehicles from the customer record and transfer any contact history before setting the record for deletion.

To transfer a contact history:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the CRM option and the Company required.

    The CRM menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Reports and enquiries option.

    The CRM REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Database cleansing option.

    The CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu is displayed.

  4. Select the Transfer contact history option.

    The Transfer contact history (MK) form is displayed.

  5. Complete the form and click OK.

    A report status is displayed confirming that the update has taken place.

  6. Click Close.

    You are returned to the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu.

Transfer Contact History (MK) Form

This form is displayed when you select the Transfer contact history option from the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu.

Enter source Customer magic No: Enter the magic number of the customer from which you want to remove the contact history.

Enter destination customer mag: Enter the magic number of the customer to which you want to transfer the contact history.

PUSH BUTTONS:

OK: Runs the update

Warning: The contact history is transferred immediately you click OK, so care must be taken that you have entered the correct customer numbers. Clicking OK transfers all the contact history from one customer record to the other.

Cancel: Returns you to the CRM DATABASE CLEANSING menu without transferring the contact history

Help: Displays help on the current program using the default browser

Schedule: Displays the Timed Operations scheduler

Add to batch: Displays an Add report to batch form in which a report may be batched for printing in a report group
