On systems where more that one stock company share a processor, it is possible for those users to interrogate each other's stock holding. When you click the Other stock button on the Display Stock Card form, the system scans other stock companies for a part match. When a match is found, the system displays the quantity in stock and the name of the stock company.
The Other Stock form is displayed when you click the Other stock button on the Display Stock Card form. From this form, you can view stock information on a part that you want to use from another stock company.
Company name: The company number and name on which the part exists.
Superseded: The old part number from which the part was superseded.
Total: The total stock quantity of the part at the company.
Back order: The amount of stock on back order at the company.
Purchased: The amount of stock on Purchase Orders at the company.
Free: The stock quantity available for sale at the company.
Demand: The current demand quantity for the part at the company.
In transit: The amount of stock in the transit location at the company.
Excess: The amount of stock of the part considered to be in excess at the company.
