Sensitive Parts Generation Results

The sensitive parts generation results form displays the results from the selections made in the Sensitive Parts Generation option.

To access the Sensitive Generate Parts Results form:

  1. From the Sensitive Parts Generation form, click the Process button.

    The Sensitive Parts Generation Results form is displayed.

The results form displays all parts that match the criteria entered on the previous form. The following information is displayed for each part: Part number, Description, Product group, Discount group, Sales code, Retail price, Status, Requested date, Requested by, Amended date, Amended by, Created date, Creator ID, Sensitive Now period, and Sensitive New period. The status will show Fixed, Request or blank, indicating whether the part is already sensitive and an amendment has been requested, or the part is not currently a sensitive part, respectively. All fields on this form are non-editable with the exception of the last one, Sensitive New.

Stock Controller

The process differs slightly depending upon whether you are the Stock Controller as defined in the SM System parameters or not.

Tip: Alternatively the sensitivity period may be set to 0 which effectively stops any sensitive movements in Point of Sale while recording the date and user ID to show when and by whom this change is made.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Fix: Processes the selections made. A confirm input dialogue box is offered: Yes to Fix. A confirmation dialogue box is displayed: OK. You are returned to the SM Miscellaneous options menu. No to cancel the operation.

Cancel: Cancels the selection and returns to the selection form

Help: Displays this help page in your default browser

Note: If a part number has not been entered on the filter selection form a message is issued by the system to this effect. This is merely to serve as reminder that the whole stock file will have to be searched and may take some time.

Other users

Users other than the Stock Controller have more limited access to this functionality. Nevertheless they must have level 7 priority for Stock Management in order to use this functionality. In the main the operations are much the same.

The primary differences are that the drop-down filter offered to the Stock Controller on the filter form to filter by Fixed, Requests etc is not available, access to the Parameters tab is also disabled. When the results pane is returned the Generate push button is offered instead of the Fix button. Its behaviour is however much the same, being used to process the selections made. If an amendment is made it will be set to Request and must be approved by the controller. All sensitive parts creation or amendments made by this type of user will cause the system to issue an email detailing the action to be sent the Group /User id defined with the parameters. Other than this all other functionality is as previously described.
