This option allows you to convert the taken times of miscellaneous labour lines within a Point-of-sale WIP to the correct RTS WIP labour lines (Status E) and populates the new labour line with the original technicians assigned.
Note: If the labour line is as a result of the VHC process various data files are maintained to reflect the that the conversion has occurred.
What do you want to do?
This form is displayed when you click Point-of-Sale > Tools toolbar button option > Convert miscellaneous labour lines option.
This group box displays the miscellaneous labour lines from the WIP at status C (Complete) in the grid. For each existing line, the following details are displayed:
RTS code: The RTS code used for the miscellaneous labour line.
Description: The description used for the work to be carried out.
Taken: The time taken to do the work.
Note: The total numbers of hours taken to complete the miscellaneous lines are highlighted in red at the bottom of the Existing lines (from) Taken column.
This group box displays the new lines (extra lines at E status) on the WIP, which will have the taken time allocated to them. For each new line, the following details are displayed:
RTS code: The RTS code used to carry out the work.
Description: The description of the RTS code.
Allow: The allowed time.
Note: In order to convert the lines, the allowed time must be greater than zero.
Taken: This field is initially set to 0 (zero). When you click the
button, the time taken on the selected existing line is allocated to the new line displayed in the grid.
Radio Button:
: This button is only enabled when you select an existing line. It allocates the time taken on the existing line between the new line (at E status).
Push buttons:
OK: Updates the labour lines (at status E) on the WIP with the new taken times.
Cancel: Cancels the conversion operation.
Help: Displays this help in a Web browser.
Convert to text lines: If this box is checked, the system converts the miscellaneous labour line to a text line when the new lines are loaded onto the WIP. If the box is not checked, the system deletes the original line (sets the line to D status).
To select an existing RTS labour line:
Clicking the required RTS labour line within the Existing lines (from) group marks the selected RTS code and activates the button.
To convert the selected labour line:
Clicking the button activates the OK button.
