Dealer orders are raised via Purchase Control, downloaded as an XML file and automatically submitted to the warehouse by a Generic File Transfer (GFT) . In order for these files to be imported to the Autoline system, they must be converted to the correct format. The Receive customer orders option performs this conversion during which it creates two files; one that contains the purchase order lines (dordl) and one that contains the header (dordh). This is normally performed by a Timed Operation. However, in the event of a problem, this option can be run manually.
Note: If an error occurs on receipt of the dealer order, a text file is created, and an option called Errors with customer orders is displayed on the SO CUSTOMER ORDER IMPORTS menu.
To manually receive customer orders:
The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.
Select the Customer orders option.
The SO CUSTOMER ORDER IMPORTS menu is displayed.
Select the Receive customer orders option.
The Receive Customer Orders form is displayed.
A progress of the upload is displayed and, on completion, you are returned to the SO CUSTOMER ORDER IMPORTS menu.
Note: You must now import the dealer orders to the Autoline system.
