This menu is displayed when you click Master Menu > System Utilities > Timed operations
End of Day has been replaced by a timed operations Agent. The timed operations menu contains options that control the Agent. The timed operations Agent (daemon) is a background process that allows you to execute options automatically at a given time, at intervals throughout the day, once each day, once a week, month or year.
Operations scheduled within the Agent can be set to run exclusively or concurrently with other Agent operations. It also allows for a chain of linked options to be set up. Each option in a chain waits for the previous operation to complete before starting.
There are parameters set in the System Utilities module that control the maximum number of concurrent processes that can start, as well as defining the day of the week upon which weekly options are run and the day of the month upon which monthly option will run
Daemon Controller: Allows you to start and stop the background processes.
View/print system log file: The status of each operation run from the Agent is reported in this log, including the starting and stopping of the Agent itself.
View/print output log file: As well as reporting all completed or failed operations in the event log, the Agent also reports it own status, that is what has started and when, what it will start next.
Configure Schedule: The schedule determines which operations are run and when they are run.
