In addition to the data files stored on disk, the vehicle stockbooks system maintains a vehicle locator list which is held in memory, and updated as each vehicle amendment is made. If the processor is turned off for maintenance or some other reason, then this option should be run to re-build that table in memory, as per the disk stored data files at that point in time.
Note: The Reboot functionality, will run automatically for the first user who enters both showroom & vehicle stockbooks.
To Reboot the VSB System:
Select the Reboot VSB System option.
This will display a form, on the form will be the following options:
If OK is chosen this will perform the re-boot.
If Cancel is chosen this will return you to the VS system maintenance.
Note: The form will display live companies, will advise as it re-boots each VS company (if applicable).
When the re-boot has been completed, the user will be prompted with a message, advising the reboot complete.
Click on the Button this will return you to the VS system maintenance menu.
Note: If any user goes into either Vehicle administration, Update vehicle statuses or Accept customer orders, after the processor has been re-started, and before this option is run from the System maintenance menu, it will run by default.
