The End of shift form is displayed when the task being assigned to a specific time in the Wizard will not be completed before the end of the shift for the selected resource.
From this form we have two options :
Continue task next shift : Click the OK button to continue the task with the same resource on to their next shift. The tasks either side of the shift will be shown as Rollover in the Day form grid.
Note: Rollover tasks may have the character ( C ) in the first cell of a loaded task. What this means is that you have clocked on to this WIP and clocked off after the allowed time allocated for the previous day, if you then hover over the ( C ) it will tell you the time already completed (Taken) from the previous day.
Handover task to : When the radio button is selected the resource list will become available to allow the user to select a resource to continue with the task. When you select the name of a resource in the list the Next available group box will display the date on which that resource is next scheduled to work. Click the OK button for the task to be handed over to another resource on their next shift.
If the task is rolled over into another shift then the portion of the task either side of the Day form will be shown in Mid Grey.
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK : Click this button to accept the choice of course of action and return to the Day form.
Cancel : Click this button to return to the Day form.
If a multi-lined WIP is loaded and the first labour line on the WIP rolls over the current day the End of shift form will be displayed until the task is loaded, a second form will then be displayed with two further options - Return - to - startday and Continue.
Return - to - startday will take the user back to the first loading date to continue loading the rest of the tasks on the WIP.
Continue will leave the user on the last day that the first task rolled over to and allow them to load the rest of the tasks on the WIP.
