Export File Form

The [Provider Organisation] – export file form is displayed when you select File > View export file from the menu bar of the Export Nominal Ledger Form. It displays the contents of the last file exported from Autoline to your local computer or server. Alison Associates accounts are exported as text (.txt) files. Mitac accounts are exported as comma separated variable (.csv) files.

Each export file for Mitac contains the following information:

Account number
Description
B/forward value
Current postings
Year to date

Alison Associates

Each export file for Alison Associates contains one header record, any number of data records, and one trailer record.

Header Record

Example: AABM5432 0299.12

0	2	AA	Used as file identifier
2	6	BM Code	For example, B 12346. This code is allocated by Alison Associates, it is not the franchise dealer code.
8	1	space
9	2	Month number	For example, 07
11	2	Year (2 digit)	For example, 96
13	1	space
14	1	Decimal Separator	The character used as the decimal separator in the account values in the data records.
15	2	Account Code length	Length of the longest Account Code used.
17	3	Currency Code	ISO 3-character currency code (see below)

Note: The first character position is numbered 0, not 1.

Data Record

0	??	Account Code	Any alphanumerics. The account code length specified in the header record determines the size of the field. Trailing spaces will be ignored. The field is treated as text. Accounts Codes should be left-justified in this field.
