Parameters & Controls Form

Note: This help topic is for Ford only.

Within the Parameters & Controls form, you can customise the way your system operates. This form is displayed when you select the Parameters & controls option from the System maintenance menu within MS UTILITIES.

Company: The Point-of-Sale (POS) company number

Transfer directory: The standard transfer directory in which files are either downloaded from, or uploaded to, the Autoline system (for example: /user1/xfer)

Note: In some cases, the Transfer directory field is assigned dynamically. Therefore, it is recommended that you set up this parameter on advice from a consultant to ensure that the software operates correctly.

Target PC file: Normally A:

Dealer code: The Ford-supplied dealer code

Client number: Leave blank.

Keep Processed Days: Relates to KATS. The number of days that warranty claims are held on the system until they are automatically purged (deleted). Normally 7 days

Keep Unprocessed Days: Relates to KATS. The number of days that unprocessed claims are held on the system until they are automatically purged. Normally 14 days

Price change %age: This parameter relates to the KATS Advice Note software. If a price change is outside of the margin percentage entered here (10%, for example), you are warned of the difference on an exception report.

Stock order PC dir.: Relates to KATS. Enter C:\fdo\site[no], where [no] represents a site number between 1 and 9. The site number is normally 1.

Stock Franchise: The franchise stock letter for Ford. Set to F.

MicroCat.exe locat.: Set to c:\Microcat\microcat.exe. Not currently used

MicroCat.ord locat.: Set to c:\mcorders\. Not currently used

MicroCat WindowName: The Microcat Class Name (window identifier). Not currently used

EDIFACT country code: Aways GB

EDIFACT dealer ILN: The dealer mailbox number supplied by Ford

EDIFACT batch number: Set to 0 (zero). When you set up the system, you must create aftersales Company **, in which you just fill in the batch number. In cases where there are multiple sites, the software looks at Company ** and increments the batch number.

EDIFACT Y/N for subs: Are you able to carry out submissions? Yes or No. Normally set to Y

EDIFACT test mode YN: This field is for KCC-use only. Set to N.

EDIFACT PDC ILN: The U.K. mailbox number at Warley. Currently 5022629117124

EDIFACT s/order dir: Enter order/[company number].

EDIFACT s/order name: Set to ORDER (capitals).

FCB VAT code: Not used

FCB path: Not used

FCB enabled Y/N: Not used

FCB batch number: Not used

FCB purge in days: Not used

Tyre franchise: Relates to Fleet Central Billing (FCB). Not used

Ford customer code: Relates to FCB. Not used

Host name: This is a combination of the characters bcm and the first four characters of the site location. For example, Newbury would be bcmnewb. It is also recommended that you check the entry in the host table.

Host user id: Enter ftpuser.

Host login password: Enter ftpuser123.

FTP/Kermit flag: Set to F.

DSR source directory: The path on the Autoline system that holds the Dealer Status Reporting (DSR) file when it has been retrieved from the location on the Batch Communications (BCM) server identified within the EDIFACT DSR dir parameter

VSB company number: The vehicle stock books company number

Alternative dealer (#1-10): These fields are provided in the event that Ford issues alternative dealer codes for a single company to denote different types of business - for example: private or commercial.

EDIFACT DSR dir: The location on the BCM server for DSR files.

Microcat level: Set to 4 for FordeCat set-up.

FO Interest rate (INTRATE1): Ford Interest rate setting. Enter the correct value (maximum 99.99).

External Int rate (INTRATE2): External interest rate setting. Enter the correct value (maximum 99.99).
