Submitting a Stock Order

The Purchase Control module allows you to submit generated stock orders. When you submit a stock order, the system creates a UNIX file on the Autoline system from the order that you select.

To submit a stock order:

  1. From the Autoline MASTER MENU, select Purchase Control and the correct stock company.

The PURCHASE CONTROL menu is displayed.

  1. Select the Submit stock order option.

The Submit Stock Orders dialog box is displayed.

  1. Enter the Manufacturer Code RE.

The system displays the purchase orders available for submission.

  1. Select the order that you want to submit and click the Submit button.

Warning: The same filename is used each time a stock order is submitted. Therefore, if a stock order file already exists, the system displays the following message: ../xfer/SA.stord.** (where ** is the stock company) and gives you the option to Overwrite, Move or Append the existing file. You will normally select the Overwrite option which replaces the last submitted order with the new order.

  1. Select the Overwrite option.

The system starts to download the selected order to a UNIX file. When the submission is complete, the system tells you how many lines were submitted in the order.

  1. You must now download the stock order file to the PC.
