Before you start to use Inter-System Ordering, it must be correctly set up on your Autoline system. This is normally carried out by, or on advice from, an Autoline consultant.
(This is XX.PC.suppf, where XX is your company supplier file.)
There must be a supplier record for each order type being submitted to the Importer Management System (IMS).
If the stock order is an S-type order, this record is used to pick up the correct Generic File Transfer record held in the Order transfer ID field on the Supplier details form.
The Purchase Ledger account should be set up as a normal account type, not an A address-only account, and the Post documents flag must be set to Y.
To show stock quantities in the IMS system, Show other Co stocks in SM parameters must be set to Y or B.
If the DMS and IMS are on the same machine, Stock directory will be the SM data directory on the IMS system, and POS directory the directory containing SO data on the IMS.
If different machines, Port and Host/IP should be used.
Note: The MS.00.advno file must be greater than 2000 records.
Ensure the Sales Ledger accounts for the DMS companies are set up as Delivery note account types in the Sales Ledger. Check the field Delivery account types held in the Main tab of the form Main-Tables-Fastrack of the POS parameters. Also ensure that these Sales Ledger accounts are held in the SO.custf file of the IMS company, with the File transfer parameters group box of the Other tab completed correctly.
Note: For this option to work correctly, there must be at least one SM franchise record with a price file code (= 00) and there must be a 00 price file in place, even if there are no records in it.
A record for each of its customers must be in the Custf file (01.SO.custf) held on the Importer Management System. Select Point of Sale > SO Miscellaneous Options > Edit customer details. This is a Sales Ledger account. The dealer number must be the same as that on the DMS PC.suppf record.
