Note: This documentation assumes you are familiar with stock order creation.
A stock order for stock replenishment is generated and received into stock as follows:
An account must exist in the Purchase Ledger as usual.
Note: For Inter-System Ordering to work, you must also have a record for each ISO Supplier/Order type held in the Supplier details file of the DMS server/company.
Create, and submit, a stock order.
The Dealer Management System (DMS) creates a manual, or generated, stock order via the Purchase Ledger supplier account used for the Importer Management System (supplier).
The IMS user imports the DMS order onto a WIP.
When the IMS system has all the parts at P status - that is, in stock, the user prints a delivery note.
The IMS user exports advice notes to the DMS.
The DMS depot receives the Inter-System advice notes via the Purchase Control module. This allows the DMS to receive the order into stock.
