Customer Setup

Overview

This option enables the production of a company record (customer, supplier or both) against which company specific details may be allocated. This record is in turn linked to the CRM Company record and associated customer(s).

To access the customer setup:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Miscellaneous Options option.

    The Miscellaneous Options form is displayed.

  3. Select the Customer Details option.

    The Customer Details form is displayed.

Customer Setup Form

This form is split into six parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Menubar and Toolbar

File > New New Displays the New Customer form that enables the basic details to be entered for the creation of a new company record.
File > Open Open Displays the Customer Search form that enables an existing company record to be retrieved and viewed/edited.
File > Save Save Saves any data that is entered.
File > Exit Exit Exits to the Miscellaneous Options menu.
Help > Help Provides online access to context sensitive help for the current application using the default browser.

Customer Setup Dialogue Box

This is a simple dialogue box and may contain from two to four tabs (depending upon the Company Type selected) enabling the allocation of specific details against a customer, supplier or repairer. One or more of the following Tabs may be viewed at any given time.

Details: This Tab is present for all records types and displays the associated CRM company and customer details.

Details 2: This Tab is present for all records types and displays basic invoice and agreement details.

Details 3: This Tab is present for all records types and enables maintenance recharge uplifts and notes to be held against a customer in addition to an early termination charge.

Repairer: This tab is only present for Company Types of Supplier and enables a repairer purchase Ledger account to be allocated to the company record.

Repairer 2: This tab is only present for Company Types of Supplier and enables additional repairer notes, contact and times to be allocated to the company record.

Repairer 3: This tab is only present for Company Types of Supplier and holds default repairer costs.

Repairer 4: This tab is only present for Company Types of Supplier and holds default collection and delivery costs.

Supplier: This tab is only present for Company Types of Supplier and enables a supplier purchase Ledger account to be allocated to the company record.
