The Vehicle Health Check in Point-of-Sale (referred to as VHC in some areas of Autoline), enables you to record the visual vehicle checks made by users, usually from the Service department, onto the Autoline system. The information held in the Vehicle Health check files can interact with other parts of the Autoline system. This is especially relevant to customer follow ups and Upselling while the vehicle is at a dealer's site, or during Customer Contact Management.
Vehicle health check is accessed from a Point-of -Sale Wip with vehicle details attached (if no Wip is present for the vehicle there is an option to create this from the VHC procedure).

Access is from the Links option on the Menu bar from a Point-of-Sale Wip.
The Vehicle Health Check printout is produced when you select Links from the menu bar of the main Point-of-Sale form, followed by the action Print VHC. The Vehicle Health Check Printout form enables you to carry out pre-determined checks that are then notified to a member of the service department or a technician who checks the vehicle over and makes notes on the findings.
These checks are scored according to whether the fault needs rectification. The exact scoring structure could be determined by each manufacturer. Examples of a possible scoring structure on a VHC printout are:-

Note: The headings displayed on the form can be personalised during the setup function to allow a current form or layout that users or manufacturers prefer. The three column layout must still be used however as only the heading titles can be amended.

Access is from the Links option on the Menu bar from a Point-of-Sale Wip.
The Record VHC link becomes enabled when you select Links from the main Point-of-Sale form menu bar and Vehicle health check option is taken. This form displays all the relevant checks to be carried out on the vehicle pre-loaded to the Wip (this can be controlled via setup of the Upsel records).
The purpose of this form is to load information from the checklist VHC form to the Wip at Memo status. Three editable columns are displayed; each of these can be checked dependant on the reported findings from the VHC form.
Tip: The column header wording can be personalised to the dealers requirements from the VHC service levels file in Franchise Data. Red and Green colours are assigned at either end of the grid to highlight the Job definition importance.
Tip: If the VHC Record appears blank this might be due to the franchise being incorrect on the Vehicle and is therefore incompatible with the VHC setup on the system. (For example:- VHC is only set up for Citroen Vehicles and the vehicle being checked is a Vauxhall).
Note: A vehicle must be loaded to the Wip, if no Wip number exists you will be prompted to create a Wip number.
From a Point-of-Sale Wip Click the Links Menubar option > Vehicle Health Check > Record VHC.
The Vehicle Health Check Entry Wizard form is displayed.
Select Vehicle Health check statuses appropriate with the recorded entry on the VHC printout or form that is being used.
The grid boxes will be populated with ticks. Use the Tab key to refresh the screen.
Click the Finish button.
The lines will be loaded to the Wip at M status (except any that were marked with a status of OK or Green, this can be dependant on the column headings being used).
Click the Cancel button to Exit.
You will be returned to the Wip after passing through a message asking if you need to save the records. No lines will be loaded to the Wip.
