MBVS-Z set-up utility form

The MBVS-Z export needs a mapping between the Autoline codes and the MBVS-Z to be able to export data from Autoline correctly. The mappings can be set-up in the MBVS-Z set-up utility. The mapping that must be set-up is:

1. Set up a mapping from Autoline codes to MBVS-Z codes for Cost centre's, Contact codes, Fuel types, DC salesmen, Main competitor's and Cost centre suspension codes.
2. Create MS/MB Target cost centre records, MS/MB Contact records, MS/MB Company detail records, MS/MB Target detail records and MS/MB Vehicle detail records .
3. Setting the defaults on Cost centers. These defaults are exported to MBVS-Z, if a clear situation is found. All unclear situations found when setting the defaults are logged in the log file. The log file can be viewed using the Logfile viewer.
4. Creating the MK shadow files.

All options on the form are explained below:

File menu

• Exit: The Exit option allows you to exit the MBVS-Z set-up utility.
• Save: Selecting the Save button saves the changes.

Edit menu

• Edit mode: Before being able to make changes, select the Edit mode icon.
• Add suspension code: Only visible and enabled if CostCentre Suspension codes set-up radio button is selected. Gives the possibility to add a CostCentre Suspension code.
• Delete suspension code: Only visible and enabled if CostCentre Suspension codes set-up radio button is selected. Gives the possibility to delete a CostCentre Suspension code.
• Undo: The Undo option restore changes made before they are saved.

Tools menu

• MB details records to create: Selecting the MB details records to create option gives the possibility to select the options described below.
  • Target cost centres: If not existing, a record is created in the 'MB.MS.tarcc' table for all Customer Cost Centre records available in the 'MK.tarcc' table.
  • Contact records: If not existing, a record is created in the 'MB.MS.conta' table for all Customer Cost Centre records available in the 'MK.conta' table.
  • Company details: If not existing, a record is created in the 'MB.MS.compy' table for all Customer Cost Centre records available in the 'MK.compy' table.
  • Target details: If not existing, a record is created in the 'MB.MS.targt' table for all Customer Cost Centre records available in the 'MK.targt' table.
  • Vehicle details: If not existing, a record is created in the 'MB.MS.vehic' table for all Customer Cost Centre records available in the 'MK.vehic' table.

• Create MS/MB detail records: This option is enabled as soon as one of the options in the MB details records to create option is selected. The actual creating of the records is done when selecting this option.
• Set default cost centre's: This option checks the set-up Cost Centre mapping and places if possible the default Cost Centre found in the mapping table on the 'MB.MS.tarcc' record for the CRM Target and Company records. All CRM Target and Company records are checked and their matching 'MB.MS.tarcc' record is provided with the defaults from the mapping table. If an unclear situation is encountered an entry will be written to the log file.
• Populate MK shadow files: Selecting this option creates the following empty MK shadow files (**.MK.targt.de, **.MK.compy.de, **.MK.vehic.de, **.MK.tarcc.de and **.MK.conta.de).
• View logfile: The log file reports the unclear situations found when running the Set default cost centre's process. Selecting the Log file displays the unclear situations.

  Note: It is the intention that these unclear situations are solved before running the MBVS-Z export!

Help menu

• Help: Selecting the Help button opens the helpfiles.

All icons in the Toolbar have the same functionality as the menu options described above.

Set-up....

The mapping between Autoline codes and MBVS-Z codes must be done to be able to export complete data.

• Cost centre: Mapping between the Autoline MK.ccent table and MBVS-Z codes.
• Contact code: Mapping between the Autoline MK.type table and MBVS-Z codes.
• Fuel type: Mapping between the Autoline DD.fuelt table and MBVS-Z codes.
• DC Salesman: Mapping between the Autoline MB.MS.users table and MBVS-Z codes.
• Main competitor: Mapping between the Autoline MB.MS.chass table and MBVS-Z codes.
• CostCentre Suspension codes: Mapping between the Autoline DE.CS.mbsus table and MBVS-Z codes.

Set-up mappings

The headers of the grid have different descripions, depending on the type of set-up that is done. E.g. setting up Cost centre's

• Autoline code: The Autoline code, e.g. the code used for the fuel type.
• Description: The Autoline description matching the code.
• Trigger: Only visible if the set-up type Contact code is selected. Because an Autoline contact code can be a 'Trigger' or a 'Result' code in MBVS-Z; two colums give the possibility to add mapping MBVS-Z codes.
• Result: Only visible if the set-up type Contact code is selected. Because an Autoline contact code can be a 'Trigger' or a 'Result' code in MBVS-Z; two colums give the possibility to add mapping MBVS-Z codes.
• MBVS-Z code: Enter the MBVS-Z code to which the Autoline code must be mapped.
