Bin Location Search

The generated bin locations are used in the Stock Management module. They are assigned to parts in order to be able to locate the part in the warehouse. All bin locations created by the Mercedes-Benz Stock Location Maintenance program are stored in the Bin locations file. Besides the maintenance option in the Mercedes-Benz Stock Location Maintenance program, it is possible to maintain bin locations by using the Bin Location Maintenance program.

Bin locations are assigned to part numbers. In the standard Autoline system it is not possible to assign more than one part number per bin location. To store more than one part number to a location, the Multiple parts Stock locations file is used. This file is filled via the Populate allocation file option in the Maintaining Bin Locations program.
