Mercedes-Benz Specific Customer Information

The MB-Specifics function has a different form per type of CRM record. Depending on the functions installed the different fields and/or tabs are available or not.

Note: The [MB-Specific] option needs to be made available via CRM features (MK.functs) and User access control.

Mercedes-Benz Specific Customer Information Form

This form is displayed when you click CRM > My desktop > Customer to display the Customer form > select the customer required and you click the Customer options > [MB-Specific] menu bar command. It maintains Mercedes-Benz specific information.

Menu Bar and Action:

Menu bar Action
File > Edit Amends the Mercedes-Benz details of the customer you have selected.
File > Save Saves the Mercedes-Benz details of the customer after changes have been made in edit mode.
File > Exit Returns you to the Customer form.

Help > Help Displays this help topic in a web browser.
Help > About Displays version and copyright information.

Fields:

Customer number: Enter the magic number of the CRM record.

Customer: Enter the name of the customer in the CRM module.

Tabs:

General Tab

Fields:

MB internal customer number: Internal Mercedes-Benz customer number.

Don't transmit to EKS: If selected, information is not exported to the EKS Interface.

Statistical district: Cluster number of the area. Stat enhancement field.

Don't transmit to analysis systems: If selected, customer information is not transmitted to other analysis systems as MRA.

Employee number: Enter the Daimler AG (DAG) employee number (plant code / personal number), this is used in the PPool interface when transferring movement data resulting from transactions with employees of DAG from Autoline to Clearing-POOL . All entered characters must be numeric, except for character four. Character four is standard a /. A check is run on the last seven digits and the seventh digit is the check-digit. For example, 123/1234567.

Note: The Employee number field is only available when the PPool Extract function is installed and the Autoline system does not contain a CLASSIC CAR environment.

Status: Status of the record.

EKS record Status: Status of the EKS record.

AP number: Contact person number.

AP flag: Select from the table the correct AP flag. Only available for kcc users.

EKS customer number: The customer number from EKS, will be filled automatically when this customer is created/updated by the EKS interface.

Governmental business flag: Select one of the business types

Service Tab

Additional Customer Notes:

Additional notes can be set-up to be printed on the Job order in the Point of sale module.

Jobcard text left: Enter four notes, these texts are stored in the MS.MB.targt file called JOBTXTR (left texts).

Print: Select if you want to print this note.

Jobcard text left: Enter four notes, these texts are stored in the MS.MB.targt file called JOBCTXTL (right texts).

Print: Select if you want to print this note.

CRM Tab

Fields:

Usage acceptance: If selected, the CRM customer record is used in several Mercedes-Benz interfaces, like CRM step 2 and EKS.

Export agreement: If selected, the customer agrees that his CRM customer record is exported in several Mercedes-Benz interfaces, like CRM step 2 and EKS.

Preferred method of contact: Select the preferred method to contact the customer from the table. The values in the table can be set-up in the Preferred method of contact table, which is located in the Manufacturer Systems module for MB (Mercedes-Benz - CRM menu).

Best time to call: Select the best time to call the customer option from the table. The values in the table can be set-up in the Best time to call table, which is located in the Manufacturer Systems module for MB (Mercedes-Benz - CRM menu). This field is only visible if the Best day to call field on the CRM customer record is filled.

Average annual mileage: This field contains the average annual mileage the customer covers.

No address validation: Select if the customer address shouldn't be validated using the Fuzzy!Logic interface.

CAS export date: Displays the date of the last CAS interface export in which this customer’s data is included.

Vehicle Details:

Show vehicle status at: Select the vehicle status which the vehicle must have in order to be displayed in the Vehicle details grid.

Vehicle Details Grid:

Registration: Displays the registration number of the vehicle.

Variant: Displays the variant of the vehicle.

Expected replacement: Displays the expected replacement day of the vehicle.

Description: Displays the description of the vehicle.

Other Tab

Fields:

This tab is available if the Manufacturer Systems company Smart (MC) are set up.

Preferred model: Select the preferred model from the Smart Preferred model codes table.

Additional current car: Enter the Additional current car of the customer.

Exclude from Smart extract: Select to exclude this CRM customer from the Smart extract.

PPS Tab

This tab is displayed for the current customer/company when clicking on the status indicator in CRM.

A statement consists of a statement type, a version number, statement text and at least one communication channel (with a maximum of ten channels). The recording of the customer's (target or company) response to a statement can be handled from the CRM module as well as from Point-of-sale. Statement definitions and the customer's reaction to the statements presented to them are recorded in CRM.

Fields:

New statement: Click the New statement button to assign a new statement to the customer or company.

Delete statement: Click Delete statement to delete the assigned statement from a customer or company.

Source

Module: By default the source module will be selected "SO" for Point-of-sale and "MK" for CRM. When required the user can change it at this time.

Company: The company will be selected as the current company of the module. When the module is changed the company drop down will be reloaded with valid companies for the module selected.

Reference: The reference can be used to identify during which process in the module/company the statement was recorded.

by User: The used userID is entered by default but it can be changed when required.

Validity

Agreement date: The displayed date is set by default to the current date and can be adjusted by the user at this time when required.

Note: It is possible to edit the date when required.

Expiry date: The Expiry date is calculated using the agreement date in combination with the agreement validity period in month setup in the parameters.

Note: When the validity period is not setup in the parameters the user must enter the expiry date manually.

Statement

Type: The statement type will be set to the same type as previously record for the customer / company. If there is no previous statement a check will be performed to see is a Mercedes-Benz vehicle is attached to this customer / company.

Note: When an MB vehicle is found then the statement type will be selected as setup in the parameters, otherwise the type MERCEDES-BENZ will be selected by default.

When no MB vehicles are found for the customer / company the statement type setup in the parameters for Other brands will be selected. If no parameter was setup the type OTHER-BRAND will be selected.

At this stage the user can select any statement type if the correct type is not selected by default.

Version: By default the version number will be set to the latest version available for the selected statement type. The user can select an older version when required but will get a warning asking for confirmation.

Note: The statement channels are loaded once the version is selected and cannot be changed by the user from this screen and are displayed just for information purposes just as the statement text.

Language: Displays the stored text for the selected statement type in the selected language.

Statement channels: Enter the customer's decisions on the statement channels by clicking on the value in the column Permission.

TPS settings

Depending on the parameter setup, confirmation messages about setting/removing TPS flag in CRM can pop-up.

When a channel is set to Agreed and the CRM communication option is recognized, a confirmation message will be displayed when a TPS flag is currently set.

Selecting OK will remove the TPS flag(s) in CRM and cancel will leave the TPS settings as is.

When a channel is set to Denied and the CRM communication option is recognized, a confirmation message will be displayed when a TPS flag is not yet currently set in CRM.

Selecting OK will set TPS flag(s) in CRM and cancel will leave the TPS settings as is.

Contact Agent Tab

This tab is available for the Country Nation GERMANY. The grid is populated with records from the EKS Contact Agent file.

Grid:

CC: Displays the EKS cost centre customer.

Magic: Displays the EKS Agent magic number.

Agent name: Displays the EKS Agent name.

Protection to: Protection till.

Comm. Displays the Commission in percentage.

Discount: Displays the EKS bulk discount.

Remarks: Displays the EKS remarks.

Grid Shortcut Menu:

A right-click in the grid will open the shortcut menu where you can select the specific action.

Link Customer To Dealers Tab

This tab is available if the Mercedes-Benz CRM Interface parameter is set to DCSEA - CRM Step 3 project DC South East Asia, if the Mercedes-Benz CRM MPC parameter is set to Yes and if the Export DCSEA Retail interface file is available. It gives the possibility to select the dealer(s) that you want to export the MPC customer data to.

Fields:

Available dealers: The available dealers are set up in the CRM parameters part file (MB.MS.crmp1).

Selected dealers: The selected dealers are saved in the Export DCSEA Retail interface file (MB.MS.dcexp).

Tax Info Tab

This tab is available for the Country Nation TURKEY.

Fields:

Tax No.: Enter the tax number.

Tax Office: Enter the name of the tax office.

Note: The fields do not have a validation.

Note: The entered tax number and and tax office name are also stored in the Customer Tax Information form.
