General Showroom Parameters

General Showroom Parameters Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to Sales > + General Showroom parameters > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains General Showroom parameters records for the selected company.

General Parameters I Tab

Mandatory / Advisable fields:

Trade in date (M/O): Indicates that the trade in date is M - mandatory or O - optional when printing a vehicle order in Showroom.

Trade in time (M/O): Indicates that the trade in time is M - mandatory or O - optional when printing a vehicle order in Showroom.

Note: If the Trade in parameters are set to M - mandatory, the user will have to enter a collection date and time before proceeding.

Priorities:

Browse all quotes: Indicates the minimum priority (1 up to 9) users require to use the Just show all of them option in the Recall Enquiry program.

Note: Leaving this field blank means that all users may use the Just show all of them option.

View costs/profit priority: Indicates the minimum priority users require to display costs and profits (Purchase price / Equity) on the status bar at the bottom of the various forms in the Showroom process.

Additional features:

Show vehicle build date?: If selected, the Vehicle Build Date is displayed in the Showroom Enquiries - Vehicles in Stock form.

New vehicle report: Enter the report in which the sort order and layout is determined of the Vehicles in stock list displayed in the dialogue of the New Vehicle program. Default report is DC1.

Used vehicle report: Enter the report in which the sort order and layout is determined of the Vehicles in stock list displayed in the dialogue of the Used Vehicle program. Default report is DC2.

Clone stock vehicle active: Select to activate cloning of stock vehicles in Showroom.

Warning: If the feature Show vehicle build date is used, it is mandatory to clear the fields New vehicle report and Used vehicle report.

Options:

Optional extra logic for Additional Options: Select to indicate that all Additional options linked to the vehicle are displayed in the Vehicles in stock grid, even if it is an FOC (Free of Charge) option. Cleared, means that only the Additional options that have a separate price are displayed.

Filter models/variants:

In showroom in tree view: Select to activate a filter for the models/variants in the showroom tree view. If selected, an extra field and Apply filter button will be available on the Select Models form. By entering a string into the new field and selecting the Apply filter button, the records matching the filter string will be displayed.

In showroom in list view: Select to activate a filter for the models/variants in the showroom list view. If selected, an extra field and Apply filter button will be available on the Model form. By entering a string into the new field and selecting the Apply filter button, the records matching the filter string will be displayed.

Note: The filter ignores differences between lower and capital characters and special characters, for example A, Ä, Â, Á and À and such.

Showroom Enquiry:

Show VSB number: Select to display the Stock number in front of the the vehicle description in the Vehicle (stk. num) column in the grid of the Showroom Enquires - Enquiry Search Results form.

On NDL systems you can select which data is displayed in front of the vehicle description. Select one of the following:

Tip: Click on the Vehicle (stk. num) column header of the grid of the Showroom Enquires - Enquiry Search Results form to sort on the descriptions.

General Parameters II Tab

Enhanced vehicle search:

Use enhanced search: Select to enable the new search functionality in the selected Showroom company.

Note: The enhanced search functionality is only available for used vehicles.

Save at status: Only vehicles with the selected progress code(s) will be included in the new fast search functionality. To select a progress code select the ellipsis button. The selected progress codes are highlighted in blue. Select/deselect the progress code(s) and select the Save button.

Vehicle result format: Vehicles can be searched for in Timed Operations. Enter the format in which the results will be e-mailed.

Price sort mode: Select the default behaviour when first selecting to sort by price.

Standing days mode: Select the default method for calculating standing days.

Description language: Select the default language used for sorting on vehicle description.

Note: When changing the parameter Description language, the search database has to be rebuild! To rebuild the search database select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Sales > Populate Fast Search menu option.

Quote Export Parameters Tab

General parameters:

Type of Export quote data: Select what type of Quote export is required in the Showroom module for this Showroom company.

Export quote dealer number: Enter the dealer number that is used in the export file for this Showroom company.

Note: Please make sure that the Communication type QUOT is set up in the Communication program, so that you can transfer the exported data to the external POS systems.

MilesWeb URL: Enter the URL required to connect to the MilesWeb site.

Note: This MilesWeb URL field is available when the Type of Export quote data field contains 2 MilesWeb

Exclude from export (MilesWeb only):

Showroom accessory: Select which accessories, set up in the Showroom System parameters should be excluded, by clicking the gridline in the Exclude column.

DD Option types to exclude: Select via the dropdown button in the gridline which Franchise data option types should be excluded. It is possible to exclude up to 10 option types from export.

Vehicle shortlist Tab

Used vehicle short list:

Vehicle short list format: Enter the format stationary definition to print a list of selected vehicles in the short list. Default format is MS/fsMB1. The corresponding Print Manager format (MBSR_SHORTLIST[v1].kpm) can be downloaded from the Mercedes-Benz development web site.

Vehicle shortlist details format: Enter the format stationary definition to print the details of a vehicle in the short list. Default format is MS/fsMB2. The corresponding Print Manager format (MBSR_SHORTLIST_DETAIL[v1].kpm) can be downloaded from the Mercedes-Benz development web site.

Vehicle shortlist details (incl. specs): Enter the format stationary definition to print the details of a vehicle in the short list, including the vehicle specification lines.

Web alias for picture download: Enter the name of the web alias to be used by Print Manager to download vehicle pictures.

This alias should be configured within the KCML connection manager and should vehicle picture root directory as defined in the environment variable PICDATA. This following URL is used within the Print Manager to download the pictures:

http://<server ip>:<port>/<Service>/<Alias name>

Contact code: Select the contact code to be created automatically when printing short list details for a customer. Leaving this field blank will disable the creation of contacts.
