For several Mercedes-Benz programs and interfaces you may have to set up the User parameters per user.
To set up the user parameters:
On the master menu, select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > User parameters.
The Mercedes-Benz Specific User Details form is displayed.
Select a user in the User ID field.
The parameters are populated on the several tabs for the selected user.
Click Amend.
The parameters can be changed.
Make the required changes and click Save.
The changed settings in the user parameter record are saved.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > User parameters. It maintains Mercedes-Benz Specific User Details for the selected user.

User ID: Select a user, to display the parameters or to change the parameters.

The settings on the CRM tab are used for several purposes:
To authorise a user for Automatic Address Validation in the Fuzzy!Post interface.
To give various access rights on several forms in the Retail Interface, you have to set up the CRM assignment properties.
The Identified non-duplicate maintenance field is used in the DQ Sensor interface.
A setting on user level controls the access to the lead management interface.
General:
Auto address validation: Select to indicate that the selected user may automatically validate a address after it is entered on the company or customer record in the CRM module.
Note: You must set up the Validation Rules tab of the Fuzzy Logic parameters per CRM company to activate the Auto validation fuzzy in general.
CRM assignment priority: Select the users access rights regarding the use of Assign customer record changes, Assign company record changes, Assign vehicle record changes, Accept customer record changes, Accept company record changes, Accept vehicle record changes, Error investigation and Manage contact records forms of the Retail interface.
No Access: The selected user does not have the right to open Assign customer record changes, Assign company record changes, Assign vehicle record changes, Accept customer record changes, Accept company record changes, Accept vehicle record changes, Error investigation and Manage contact records forms of the Retail interface.
1 - View mode only: The selected user can display the Accept customer record changes, Accept company record changes and Accept vehicle record changes forms of the Retail interface in View mode only.
2 - Process profile changes: The selected user can open and process the Accept customer record changes, Accept company record changes and Accept vehicle record changes forms of the Retail interface only.
3 - Assign and process profile changes: The selected user can open, change and process the Assign customer record changes, Assign company record changes, Assign vehicle record changes, Accept customer record changes, Accept company record changes, Accept vehicle record changes, Error investigation and Manage contact records forms of the Retail interface.
Identified non-duplicate maintenance: When you select the field Identified non-duplicate maintenance on the CRM tab, the selected user can set a CRM record as IND when the Deduplication Utility program defines the record as a duplicate.
Lead management access: Select to indicate that the selected user should have access to the Lead management interface.
CRM dealer code: Indicates the dealer code as defined in the Retailer Ids parameters.
Warning: When you use the CRM dealer code field you must have an user ID equal to the dealer code! This topic is Asian specific.
Leads imported at the MPC using the lead management interface are created as a contact within the CRM module. These contacts are sent to the responsible dealer using the CRiS interface. The responsible user on the contact at the MPC is the user that represents the dealer. You can use an existing user at that dealer or you can create a new dummy user with no access at all in the system. In this case is it also possible to assign a clear description within the users name.
The use and explanation of User details form is described in the Help files of Autoline.
MBC-POS User ID: Enter the user ID of the user that needs to be mapped to an MBC POS user ID.
Note: The MBC POS user ID will be included in the online request the MBC POS user does within the MBC POS application. A mapping is required between this MBC POS user and the corresponding Autoline user to ensure that only information is provided to MBC POS where the user normally in Autoline has access to.
Diary Colours:
By selecting the ellipsis, the Colour Selection form is displayed. Select a colour and then the OK button sets the colour. When the Cancel button on the Colour Selection form is selected, the color selection will be cleared.
Background: Select the Diary background colour.
Appointment text: Select the text colour for all appointment lines in the Diary.
Contact/Follow up text: Select the text colour for the contact and follow up lines in the Diary.
Overdue Cont./Foll. text: Select the text colour for overdue and follow up contacts in the Diary.
Grid: Specify which contact type group code is highlighted (displayed in bold) in the CRM Diary.
CRM Company: Displays the CRM Company.
Group Code: Displays the Contact Group Code for the CRM Company.
Type: Displays the Customer Type code for the Contact Group code.
Description: Displays the description of the Contact group code.
Department: Displays the department code of the Contact group code.
Highlight: Select to display the entries for the contact group code as highlighted in the CRM Diary.
Grid Shortcut Menu:
New: Select to open the Contact Type Group Highlighting form to create a new entry.
Delete: Deletes the corresponding record and refreshes the grid.
Fields:
Can reprint documents from archive?: Select to indicate that the selected user can reprint quotes, orders and invoices even if these documents are of another user.
Go Dms online user ID: Enter the log in name for the GO DMS user client. The GO DMS user id is used for every GO option that is executed by Autoline.
Mercedes-Benz financial Services user ID: Enter the user ID for Mercedes-Benz financial services.
Used vehicle search default: Select the default search option for used vehicles.

Available franchises for passenger cars: Select the used vehicle franchises available for the selected user. If no franchise is selected ALL franchises are available for the selected user.
Available franchises for commercial vehicles: Select the used commercial vehicle franchises available for the selected user. If no franchise is selected ALL franchises are available for the selected user.
For the Mercedes-Benz EVA interface, you can set up per user if the EVA client is used and what the default settings are.
EVA User settings:
PAI user ID: Indicates the log in name for the EVA client. The EVA user id is used for every EVA option that is executed by Autoline.
EVA IP: Normally IP address is configured automatically but can be entered manually.
EVA Port number: Normally port number is configured automatically but can be entered manually.
EVA Process flags:
Login procedure: Select the required EVA log in method.
Login automatically: No selection will activate the automated log in procedure.
1 - Ask when needed: A dialog box is displayed when a connection to EVA is needed.
2 - Login manually: User has to connect manually with EVA.
EVA/Campaign screen setting: This allows the user to set when and which campaign messages should be displayed.
0 - Do NOT show campaign-screen automatically
1 - Show ALWAYS campaign-screen automatically
2 - Show only when active campaign found
3 - Show only when active EVA campaigns found
4 - Show only active EVA campaigns
Do NOT show KDM button in POS: If selected the KDM button will not be visible in the Point of Sales toolbar.
Activate logging: Per user the different levels of logging the activity can be registered. Selecting more than one item is possible, log file is created and in this file all selected actions of the active EVA interface session are logged.
After the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) is installed, it is necessary to set up the Valid SM franchises, user ID and preferred EPC.
For the EWA net interface, you may set up the user ID.
Miscellaneous:
Preferred EPC: Select which type of EPC should be activated when selecting the EPC menu option
in Point-of-Sale.

When the EPC menu option is selected in POS, the user is prompted as to which EPC option to use.
1 - EPC net
EPC net will start directly when the EPC menu option is selected in POS. Select menu option Links > Utilities > EPC/WebParts to start the non-preferred EPC, Web Parts.
3 - Web Parts
WebParts EPC will start directly when the EPC menu option is selected in POS. Select menu option Links > Utilities > EPC/WebParts to start the non-preferred EPC, EPC net.
Valid SM franchises: Valid Stock Management franchises the user has access to when starting the EPC.
EPC userid: Indicates the EPC log in name for the selected user. Enter the Flexible Publishing ID ^COMPNM to use the computer name.
EWA net user ID: Indicates the EWA net log in name for the selected user, that is used when accessing EWA net.
Allowed to use XENTRY Portal pro interface: Select to make the XENTRY Portal pro interface available for the users, when the XENTRY Portal pro interface function is activated.
Button:
Reset stored password: Clears the password of EWA net log in. The next time the selected user is accessing EWA net, a new password is automatically requested. You can only use this button when an EWA net password exists.
Tip: In principle it is not necessary to set any user parameters for the EWA net interface. All the required settings are done automatically when the user accesses the EWA net interface from Point-of-Sale.
This tab contains NDL specific user parameters that refer to the following developments. For the MBKS and VKLII Import/Export interface, user specific parameters must be set to be able to export data for a certain user / salesman. In the context of the Salesman commission an identification is added to indicate that extended commission is applicable for a certain sales person. In this context also the Daimler salesman number was added.
Note: Only when the Salesman number can be found in these settings, files from VKL and MBKS can be imported.
Sales:
Salesman uses external offering system: Select if the salesman uses VKL, MBKS or both. Depending on this, options will become available in the Export program.
M - MBKS
V - VKL
B - Both
VKL salesman number MB: Enter the salesman number which is used in VKL for MB vehicles. This number is also used in the filename and in the XML.
VKL salesman number Smart: Enter the salesman number which is used in VKL for Smart vehicles. This number is also used in the filename and in the XML.
MBKS salesman number: Enter the salesman number which is used in MBKS. This number is also used in the filename and in the XML.
Commission settings:
Daimler salesman number: Enter the Daimler salesman number, which is also maintained via the MBVS-Z setup utility.
Extended commission: Select if the extended commission is applicable for a certain sales person.
Note: The Daimler salesman number is already an existing field (DCSALES) which is maintained via the MBVS-Z setup utility — DC Salesmen. The MB user details screen is a more appropriate place to store this information. The user / salesman settings are still available within the MBVS-Z setup utility.
Buttons Grid:
Here the user can select which buttons are available on the Point-of-Sale form to prevent a crowded toolbar. All functions will remain available via menu bar commands.
Tag: Displays the short name of the button.
Button action: Displays the action/description of the button.
Activate: Select to activate button's action on the Point-of-Sale form.
General:
User can change POS printers: Select to make the Change > Printer > Location Printer menu bar command of the Front Page available, so that the user can change the (POS) printer.
Note: A prerequisite is that the (last) two digits of the Location code in Autoline are equal to the POS Company number, else the POS company is not recognized and the User can change POS printers function will not work. For example:
When using three digit Location codes:
- Location 010 for POS company 10
- Location 001 for POS company 01
- Location 112 for POS company 12
When using two digit Location codes:
- Location 10 for POS company 10
- Location 01 for POS company 01
Vehicle tab visible on a POS parts terminal: Select to display the vehicle tab on the Point-of-Sale form in the parts department. The vehicle tab is normally only available while in the workshop department.
General:
User can print all daybooks: Select to allow the user to print all daybooks.
Access:
Access mode: Select the user access mode for the sales commission tool.

Signatories:
User ID: Enter the user to add to the grid as a signatory.
Command Module Tab Buttons:
Add: Adds the entered user ID and refreshes the grid.
Delete: Deletes the user ID corresponding to the selected grid line and refreshes the grid.
Grid:
User ID: Displays the user's ID.
Name: Displays the user's name.
Cost Cent.: Displays the user's location.
Telephone: Displays the user's home phone number.
On the Signatory details tab the relation between MB users and the formats which they are allowed to sign can be defined. After a user has been selected the parameters for the choice of signature can be created, maintained and deleted. It is possible to either delete a whole line or change the list of formats, the i.V. selection, the ppa. selection and the default selection.
The settings on the Signatory details tab control the correct allocation of MB users and formats:
With each line a format is assigned to the current user.
A valid configuration consists of the selection of a NDL number, a format, a company, a franchise letter, a tick in the i.V. or the ppa. column.
The user can be set as default user for the current format. This means if several users are allowed to sign the format, the default user will be suggested on the Signature form.
Signature on formats grid:
Predefined values can be selected on user level for a format configuration.
NDL: Select a NDL number by clicking the drop-down button.
Name: Displays the name of the selected NDL number.
Format: Select a format by clicking the drop-down button in the format column.
Note: In this field the names of the available format stationery are displayed. These formats cannot be changed or deleted. New formats cannot be added either.
Description: Displays the name of the selected format as defined in NDL format parameters.
Co: Select a company by clicking the drop-down button in the company column.
Note: The selected company is related to the module the format is used in. If there is only one company this company is selected automatically.
Fran: Select a franchise by clicking the drop-down button in the company column.
Name: Displays the name of the selected franchise.
i.V.: Select to activate the i.V. prefix setting for this user for the current format.
ppa: Select to activate the ppa. prefix setting for this user for the current format.
Default: Select to activate the default setting for this user for the current format.
Note: If the current user is marked as default user, it will be checked if another record for this configuration is already saved as default. In case a default configuration record is found for the selected format a warning message appears. The user can decide if the default flag is removed from the listed user for this format configuration and the current configuration record is saved as default.
Grid shortcut menu:
New line: Select the New line option to add an additional blank line to the grid.
Delete line: Select the Delete line option to remove the selected line from the grid.
Note: The database is updated after clicking the Save button on the Mercedes-Benz Specific User Details form.
