Dealer Numbers Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems > MB. Mercedes-Benz > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to System parameters > Dealer Numbers > [Company] on the Project parameters browser. The Dealer Numbers parameters are used in case of an importer system, that is using the Order Confirmation Data Interface to create workshop orders. The dealer numbers can be set up per Point of Sale company.

Fields:

Dealer number: Enter the Daimler Country Partner number.

Note: This is the partner number of the dealer that ordered the Navigation Pin code. When processing Navigation PIN orders in order confirmations on the IMS system, the dealer number is provided in the confirmation order data.

Dealer name: Enter the name for this dealer.

MK Company number: Select the company number of the marketing record. This record will be used to fill in the address details on the workshop order. The sales contact on this company record is used as contact person. This is only relevant when the workshop orders are created from the order confirmations what is not the case in this process.

Sales ledger account: Enter the corresponding sales ledger account. This account is used on the workshop order. For generation of dealer confirmations is this sales ledger account used to find back the corresponding dealer.

Confirmation order processing:

Franchise letter: Select the franchise letter that the confirmation order program will use for parts for this DC country partner. The franchise letters in this list are all the franchises for MS company MB.

Generating order confirmation files to dealers (IMS functionality):

Communication order type: Select the communication order type that should be used for transmitting the generated order confirmation file to the dealer.

Communication type: Select the communication type that should be used for transmitting the generated order confirmation file to the dealer. This type should first be created within the communication program.

Last confi. batch number: The last batch number within the confirmation file sent to the dealer.

Freight uplift: Specify how the freight uplift charges should be send to the dealer in the confirmation order file.

   - Don’t send: Freight uplift charges are not transmitted to the dealers

1 - Send as information: The Freight charges will be sent as information in the confirmation record to the dealer.

2 - Send as uplift values: This option requires the GLC file format. The freight charge will be added to the cost price in the invoice records of the confirmation order file.

Export notes: Specify how the notes should be send to the dealer in the confirmation order file.

   - Don’t send: No notes will be exported to the dealer.

1 - Export notes from parts lines: Only the notes on the parts lines (Free text field) will be exported.

2 - Export notes from WIP header: Only the order header notes will be exported.

3 - Export notes from parts lines and WIP header: Both the order header notes as the parts line notes (Free text field) will be exported.

Invoice at confirmation: The invoice details are normally generated after printing the invoice in Point-of-Sale unless this parameter is ticked. A tick in this parameter will generate the invoice details on the same moment as the confirmation data is generated, so after printing the delivery note

Note: The Invoice at confirmation parameter is only available for Confirmation order type XML2.

Market code: The XML1 and XML2 confirmation order file formats export the parts prices based on the settings in the calculate retail prices market settings. The export program will use the settings for the specified market code.

Generate confi from: Enter the date that is used during the generation of the confirmation order files, WIP(s) created after this date are included.

Backorder visibility MOPAR:

Backorder visibility MOPAR: Select, to export all part lines which have the same Sales ledger account assigned as the account of this dealer number code.

Backorder interface from IMS to DIMS:

The Back order interface from IMS to DIMS, will help to optimize the accuracy of stock order calculation and the efficiency of stock order placing to IMS by the dealer.

DIMS export type: Specify how the orders should be exported.

   - Don’t export to DIMS

1 - Export DIMS orders daily: This is the standard type. All orders placed today with a discount type of S, E, V or U will be exported.

2 - Export all order initially: All orders are identified by the value of the SO.parts.ordstat field. If the value is not equal to X, D, 1 or 2, the order will be exported.

3 - Export DIMS order initially: All DIMS orders (identified based on field SO.parts.msinfo) with a discount type of S, E, V or U will be exported.

Note: After an successful export with export type 2 or 3, the export type will be set to 1 - Export DIMS orders daily automatically.

 

Note: Setup these parameters for every Point of Sale company concerned.

Adding a Dealer Number

Before you can setup the parameters for dealer numbers, you need to create dealer number codes per company.

To add a new Dealer Number:

  1. Click New or the NewProgram.gif icon.

    The Dealer Numbers form is displayed.

  2. Click Amend, enter Dealer number code and complete the parameters fields concerning this dealer.

  3. Click Save, to save your changes.

    Your dealer number parameters are represented as a parameter element in the browser, with the Dealer number code appended.

Amending a Dealer Number

You amend a dealer number if you need to change the parameters for some reason.

To amend a Dealer Number:

  1. Click the Dealer number code element that represents the settings you want to change.

    The Dealer Numbers form is displayed for the Dealer number code you selected.

  2. Click Amend and make the changes.

  3. Click Save, to save your changes.

Deleting a Dealer Number

If it is necessary to delete an dealer number, proceed as follows.

To delete a Dealer Number:

  1. Click the Dealer number code element that represents the parameters you want to delete.

    The Dealer numbers form is displayed.

  2. Click Amend.

    The Delete button is available.

  3. Click Delete.

    You are prompted to confirm deletion.

  4. Click OK to delete the settings.

    The record is deleted and the parameter element is removed from the browser.
