Signatures

The Offer choice of signatories functionality offers the possibility to print a variety of document types or forms respectively for handling NDL used vehicle processes with a signature depending on the business type. It allows for printing the correct name with the correct prefix and includes selection options of name and prefix for the signature line.

The impact of the Offer choice of signatories enhancement is visible in the MK Demonstrator booking, Showroom and Vehicle stock book printing. For each module a Signature & reason table is available to store the data - MB.MS.ocsmk.sq (MK), MB.MS.ocssr.sq (SR) and MB.MS.ocsvs.sq (VS).

The following pre-conditions apply for the Offer choice of signatories functionality:

Note: The format stationeries will have to be defined with the data retrieved from the signature and reason.

Signatures Form

This form is available when recording signature(s) and if applicable the reason in the following modules and for the following forms:

Depending of the parameter settings in the NDL format parameters table the view and the content of the Signatures form may vary:

For the sake of completeness all fields and options on the Signatures form will be described below.

Menu Bar and Action:

Menu bar Action
File > Proceed Prints and stores the signatures/reason and returns you to the previous form. Available when right prefix, right signature and reason are filled.
File > Close Aborts the printing and returns you to the previous form without saving.

Left signature section:

The values in the Left signature drop-down menu will be looked up in the NDL format parameters table. If a User parameter record is found in the Signature details parameters that is marked as default, the signature and prefix will be set with those values.

Prefix: The prefix field is pre-selected with the values that correspond to the format parameter for the selected format, NDL, company and franchise.

Note: The prefix drop-down allows no manual entry and is filled with the entries i.V. and .ppa. If the parameter record has i.V. and ppa. set, i.V. will be pre-allocated.

Signature: The signature field is pre-selected with the values that correspond to the format parameter for the selected format, NDL, company and franchise.

Note: All names found for the current format will be added to the Signature drop-down menu. No manual entry is allowed in the Signature drop-down menu. The selection of i.V. or ppa. is used as filter for the available entries in the Signature drop-down menu.

Right signature section:

The values in the Right signature drop-down menu will be looked up in the NDL format parameters table. The right prefix drop-down is pre-filled with the value i.A.. The signature is pre-filled with the first name and surname of the current user.

Prefix: The prefix field is pre-selected with the values that correspond to the format parameter for the selected format, NDL, company and franchise. The pre-allocation can be changed and no check is performed against the signature value.

Note: The prefix drop-down allows no manual entry and is filled with the entry i.A..

Signature: The signature field is filled with the first name and surname of the current user.

Note: The pre-allocated value can be changed manually. No verification check is performed on the entered value.

Reason: Enter the reason for printing the selected format (in case of Signature dialog for Signature Left - Right - Reason). A maximum of 256 characters is available in the text box.
