Showroom help system's Recalling A Vehicle Order form help page
This form is displayed on clicking Next on the Enquiry Search Results form. It enables an enquiry/order record to be displayed, edited, confirmed, or marked as a lost sale.
Note: Any factory options downloaded from CESAR that are unknown to Autoline franchise data are still imported into the vehicle configuration. (This could be because Autoline Showroom's data is not synchronized and CESAR has newer data.) However, no warning is displayed that they do not exist in the franchise data build specification.
RADIO BUTTONS:
Tip:
The radio button selected determines the action that results from clicking the Next button .
Display only: Display order details
Note: The full enquiry details are available only in Display only mode.
Confirm the order: Marks the order as confirmed; signed by the customer
Tip: Confirm the order changes its status from O (ordered) to C (confirmed). Showroom does not communicate with CESAR at this stage because it is merely a status change. Printing of the order is also possible.
Change the order: Amends the order's details, generating a new order and labels the original quote for deletion. See step 6 in Recalling and Amending Records.
Store as Lost sale: Closes the order, labelling it as a lost sale. It returns you to the New contact form, enabling you to store the lost sale contact record for the customer, which must be saved before returning to the main menu.
Note: If you Store as Lost sale a record already validated by CESAR, Autoline automatically communicates with CESAR to cancel its own copy of the record. The only circumstances in which you would notice this is in the event of failure of Autoline to connect to CESAR. If you cannot connect to CESAR, you cannot convert the record to status L for lost sale.
Tip: If you Store as Lost sale an enquiry previously accepted into vehicle stock books, this does not cancel the order. You should cancel the order manually in the CESAR DFE (dealer front end).
Amend it: Edit order details without generating a new order/enquiry
Note: If CESAR is unavailable and you amend options that are the responsibility of the manufacturer of a valid offer vehicle configuration, the record's status is automatically changed to non-valid. It must be validated by CESAR before finalizing.
