Manually create a baumuster
To manually create baumusters, for example for Smart vehicles you must select the Baumuster 80 option from the Mercedes-Benz Standard files menu. The Baumuster 80 form is opened.
To create a new baumuster, you must:
- Select the Create button at the right side of the form.
- A rolling number is automatically put in the Baumuster ID field and the letter Manually is put in the Generated field.
This field can also contain the letter Y, which means generated. A baumuster is generated in case only the left steering baumuster for a vehicle is in the imported file. During the import the right steering baumuster file is generated with a Y in the Generated field.
If the field is empty, the baumuster record has been imported from a baumuster file.
- Complete the fields on the baumuster record.
- The 00=PC, 10=PV field, Baumuster field, Steering field, Plant field, Type code field and the Type description field must be entered to ensure correct usage.
- Select the Save button to save the baumuster record.
Manually created baumusters in Point of Sale
The Baumuster Search form is among other places also used in the Point of Sale module. When selecting labourlines, without having a vehicle with a correct baumuster attached, the Baumuster Search form is displayed.
To search for a baumuster, you must:
- Enter the baumuster or description in the Search Text field and select the Tab key.
- The baumusters that match the search criteria are displayed. Select the appropriate one and select the Ok button.
- After selecting the manually created baumuster, all labourlines are displayed with a 0 time.
- This because of the Type code = 99 field on the baumuster record.
- Depending on the Point of Sale priority the user can edit the allowed time and invoice the labourlines.
