Set-up the Confirmation Order parameters

In order for the Dealer Confirmation Order program to function correctly, you must set-up the Confirmation Order parameters.

To access the Confirmation Order parameters, you must:

From the Main Menu, select the Manufacturers option in combination with company MB.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main menu the Menu - Utilities option.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu the Mercedes-Benz parameter option.
Select from the Project parameters area on the Mercedes-Benz parameter Configuration Utility from the Confirmation Order data Parameters, which are in the Parts area.
The Order Confirmation parameters must be set up per Purchase Control company.

To activate the Generate Dealer Confirmation Order program, only the last two parameters (Update line on WIP and Generate Confirmation Orders) must be set up in addtition to the 'normal' Confirmation Order parameter settings.

Dealer parameters

The dealer parameters are required for generating the Dealer Confirmation Order files from the Point of Sale module. The dealer parameters can be found in the System group of the Mercedes-Benz parameters. These parameters are grouped per Point of Sale Company.

Communication set up

As explained before, the Communication program will send the generated Confirmation Order file to the dealer.

To send the file to the dealer, some set up is required:

Select from the Main menu, the Manufacturer Systems option with company MB.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main menu, the Utilities menu.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Utilities menu, the Communication option.
Select from the Insert menu the New Type option. For more details see the Communication helpfiles.
Create a unique Communication type, which must be linked to dealer number via the Dealer parameters.
