Manual conversion VIN - FIN

If the chassis number is entered somewhere in the system (Vehicle Stockbook, Marketing, Point of Sale and the Showroom module) and it is a VIN number, it is converted to a FIN number. Below an example:

• After the chassis number is entered in the chassis number field, the entered chassis number is validated.
• If the chassis number is found in the MCC VIN numbers table as a VIN number, the matching FIN number is displayed in a message.
• After the OK button is selected, FIN number is put in the chassis number field and the VIN Validation picks up the FIN number.
• The FIN number if displayed in the chassis number field to enable the user to enter the correct production number.
• After the OK button is selected, the FIN number with the correct check digit is in the chassis number field.
